Two men to face Court for aggravated robbery

ACT Policing has arrested two men following an aggravated robbery which occurred in Phillip on Wednesday (February 3).
About 2.50pm on Wednesday, an 18-year-old man was attempting to get in to a vehicle in a car park on Launceston Street in Phillip when he was allegedly approached by three men. One of the alleged offenders tackled him to the ground and produced a 4-5 inch bladed knife, demanding cash from him before taking his mobile phone and wallet.
The three alleged offenders then searched the victim’s car boot before leaving the area in a vehicle. The victim suffered minor injuries to his elbow and knee as a result of the incident.
The two alleged offenders, one aged 19 from Torrens and the other aged 18 from Monash, will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (February 6) charged with aggravated robbery.
Investigations continue into the whereabouts of the third man.
